Landscaping

The barren backyard was an eyesore; instead, I envisioned this place to become a favorite hang-out space for my family and friends and took to sketch my design. A modern gas burning fireplace beautifully tiled with white porcelain is the focal point of the design. As someone who loves to cook, an outdoor kitchen was an absolute must. Complete with grill, pizza oven, refrigerator, beer bar and sink, it offered functionality and aesthetical appeal. Material- wise I chose Indonesian Batu hardwood for the kitchen and the deck areas and white quartz for the kitchen countertops that nicely complemented the color combination of the design. Friends and family could enjoy a freshly baked pizza and a glass of beer comfortably sitting around the fireplace. For the kids, a wooden playhouse and a sandbox were the major attraction. My design would not be complete without a water feature, so I incorporated a fountain on the left side of the fireplace. The herb garden and fruit trees allowed me to grow my green thumb. The dream of a perfect get-together place where everyone can have a great time came true!
